Mozrov cave

The Mozrov cave is one of the extraordinarily beautiful caves in Armenia. It is located in the Marz (region) of Vayots Dzor, next to the road leading from the village of Arpi to the village of Mozrov. The cave was discovered by accident, in 1970’s, during the construction of the road. The Mozrov is karstic cave and because of that, it is a particular natural wonder. The unique karst formations: colorful stalactites, stalagmites and crystals of indescribable beauty you can see here. Many cavers say that the Mozrov cave is one of the most beautiful caves in the world. One needs more than 4-5 hours to fully explore the Mozrov cave. The length of already explored part of the cave is about 270 meters. As there are still natural drippings in the Mozrov cave it is considered alive. That means, that the formation of stalactites still continues.
