Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum(Yerevan)

More than 18 thousand exhibits are stored in Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum of Yerevan. The museum was founded by Ashkhen Tumanyan, the daughter of the poet, in 1953. Here you can see personal belongings, documents, manuscripts, drafts and publications in more than 45 languages of the Armenian poet. Materials relevant to the life and work of Tumanyan: photographs, letters, manuscripts, images, based on fairy tales and stories of the author are exhibited in the showrooms of the first floor of the museum. The copy of Tbilisi "Vernatun", which is located in a secluded corner of the first floor, is very impressive. The second floor is the memorial part -the last six-room apartment of Tumanyan in Tbilisi reproduced and furnished in the very same way as it once was. The atmosphere of the Tbilisi house of the poet has remained here. The diverse and extraordinary library of the poet, with 8 thousand copies of books of different genres and in different languages are exhibited in a large separate hall, on the same floor. The "Lori Gorge" panorama is one of the cozy places of the museum and viewing is accompanied by the melodies of the opera "Anush".
